Officer Scott Lauritzen has been a beloved member of the Herriman community as an officer with Unified’s Herriman precinct for 15 years and as the resource officer at Herriman High School for the past 5 years.
After pictures surfaced of Officer Scott stopping to play basketball with some neighborhood kids, there’s been an outpouring of love and praise for him online.

As Herriman High alumni, I’ve personally witnessed Officer Scott’s initiative to connect with community members and use his authority as an officer to inspire those around him.
