Kev’s Teacher of The Week: Jordan High School

THANK YOU, TEACHERS…

This week I headed out to Jordan High School in Sandy, Thursday (May 3) to interact with high school students during their lunchtime job fair. Instead of having two lunches that day, the school went with a combined one hour lunch and hosted a job fair in their commons area.

A total of 75 votes were placed during the combined lunch at Jordan High School, with 40 teachers receiving nominations.

With 9 nominations from his students, congratulations go out to Kev’s Teacher of The WeekMr. Olsen.

Randy Olsen is an English/Reading teacher at the school and here’s what some of student’s had to say about him,

“He takes time to explain subjects while keeping me from death by boredom.”

“He’s really supportive and respectful to his students. He’s also great at getting people to read.”

“He is so chill about classwork.”

“He’s easy to talk to and understands.”

“He is so friendly and he is always there for the students in need.”

“He’s always there and will help you regardless if you have his class or not. Great company.”

Not far behind Mr. Olsen was French teacher Cassidy Peeler who received 5 nominations from students.

There was a three-way tie for third place with four nominations each. Foods/Prostart teacher Mrs. Young, English teacher Mr. Lundstrom, and Biology teacher Mrs. Johnson.

Congratulations to all of the teachers at Jordan High School who received votes, we appreciate all that you do for the rising generation.
