At the beginning of the year I was approached from my homie’s who put on one of the most lit Latin nights at Sky SLC with an idea. The vision was to bring Sky’s first ever hip hop driven night, and they wanted me to be there for all of it. That’s how TGIF: Hip Hop Fridays was born. No fist-pumping finger heart uptempo remixes here.
If you wanna go out to have a good time and your flavor is hip hop, it’s your night.
Whether it’s me (with support from one of the nights creators DJ Dirty Dave) or one of your favorite producers or DJ’s flown in for the night it’s gonna be a memorable one.
The love the city has shown so far has been dope. The sound and production is top notch. We’re just getting started, and we’ve got a lot of surprises for the rest of 2018.
Our next TGIF event is touching down Friday May 18th with S.K.A.M. Artist, Young California Affiliate and San Francisco 49er’s DJ Dynamiq. I’ll be there to get the vibes setup proper. You can get on my guest list during the Roll Out Show, or find TGIF SLC on Facebook.
I’ll also be back June 1st doing a headlining set with one of the illest drummers in Utah Benny Danger for a MXD8PES set. DJ Dirty Dave will be warming things up for the night.
Then just a couple Friday’s later June 15th we’re bringing in one of my personal favorite DJ’s, VICE. If you’ve been to the biggest clubs in Vegas, LA, New York or even out of the country VICE has been there. This one’s gonna be for the record books.
