On this episode of ‘Rawk The Mic’ I had the opportunity to sit down with Utah’s very own A.P. and talk about his music, creative process, and life away from the industry. Rather if it’s his star cadence and lyrical ability or just his captivating music videos, A.P. is an artist to keep an eye out for.

Q (Drerawka): Where does the name A.P. come from?
A (A.P.): It was a name gifted to me by an old friend I produced for back in High School. There’s a deeper story there but not for radio lol
Q (Drerawka): Who are some of your musical inspirations and why?
A (A.P.): So many. From Jay Z to Stevie Wonder. Bob Marley to Mase. Lauryn hill to the beegees. Have a real appreciation for music as a whole.
Q (Drerawka): What does it mean to have your new single played on U92?
A (A.P.): It’s what dreams are made of right? I remember late nights as a kid imagining it was me on the radio.
Q (Drerawka): Where do you see the Utah music scene in the next 10 years?
A (A.P.): I’m confident that by then there will be a major label situation established here if not more. It’s an exciting time.
