The Winter Olympics are coming to Utah!
Earlier today, the USOC chose Salt Lake City over Denver to host the Winter Olympics in 2030 or later.
USOC CEO Sarah Hirshland said, “The United States is committed to hosting Games that are both remarkable and practical, and we believe that Salt Lake City is the community most capable of delivering against that promise,”.
SLC Mayor Jacki Biskupski says that “This decision affirms Salt Lake City as the capital of winter sports in America and the tremendous amount of work we have done to continue our Olympic legacy for future generations.”
Even Mitt Romney had a few things to say:
