First off, thanks to everyone who endured the wind and light rain on Saturday night at Usana for U92 presents Merry Jane’s 420 wellness retreat. It was a great show despite the no-show from 2Chainz. Nas opened the night of entertainment and took us back 25 years to his first album Illmatic plus his other bangers from throughout the years. Snoop followed almost immediately after Nas with a super energetic set.
At one point during the show Snoop broke out a “money gun” and was shooting dollar bills into the crowd…I’ll be honest the bills looked fake, lol. A little boy was near the front, Snoop saw him and requested he get lifted onto the stage where Snoop handed him a few “Snoop Dollaz” and let the boy hug him. Definitely was a highlight of the night along with Snoops massive catalog of jams he performed. No surprise Snoop did a tribute to his pal Nipsey Hussle as well as other fallen Hip Hop icons.
He ended the show by assuring his Utah fans he will be back again…and we can’t wait!
