A flight from Spain to the Netherlands had to make an emergency landing after a Russian guitarist’s body order was too much for passengers. According to Newsweek some passengers reported being nauseous and even fainted due to the man’s smell.
Andrey Suchilin didn’t smell due to poor hygiene, in a Facebook post Suchilin explained that he had contracted a disease while in Spain, “The tragic and comic component of this whole situation is that I caught a disease, which (let’s not say how and why) makes a man quite stinky,” Suchilin wrote.
Doctors in Spain told Andrey that he had a “beach infection”, however it turns out he had Necrosis which is a medical condition where the body’s tissues die after being starved of oxygen.
Suchilin was hospitalized for three weeks, during which time the infection spread to his kidneys, heart, and lungs, and on June 25th Suchilin passed away, Suchilin’s wife wrote on Facebook, “Andrei’s gone. Alas.”
