Birdman Gets Forced To Apologize At Gun Point

For years there have been continuous stories and rumors about Cash Money Records not paying their employee’s contractors or partners. Bryan “Birdman” Williams has been sued countless times by producers and construction liens just so that they can receive payments that they are owed.

A past business associate of YMCMB took a different approach in order to express their displeasure of not being paid by Birdman.

Rap Coalition founder Wendy Day, helped with some of the biggest distribution deals in Hip Hop history, including the unprecedented $30 million deal between Cash Money Records and Universal. Yet Wendy wasn’t paid for her efforts in helping the label. Then one of her friends took it upon himself to force Birdman to apologize.

As Day spoke to Nah Right about her situations with the record label she discussed that her friend Freddie Foxxx, a New York rapper; forced Birdman to apologize at gunpoint.

“At one point, one of my artist friends bumped into Birdman and put a gun to his head and made him call and apologize to me, which he did. Birdman called me up and said ‘oh, your friend just pulled me out of Hot 97 and I’m here on the street, on my knees and I want to apologize to you.’ I really didn’t care about the apology. I wanted to know, why would somebody s**t on someone that changed their life for the better?” she said during an interview.

She also added that Foxxx had mentioned the incident before, therefore she didn’t feel that she was incriminating him. She also added that it had been over 7 years since the incident and apparently Birdman had told her that she would need to file a lawsuit against him if she wanted to receive the money he owed her.

“He said it to me, ‘Sue me, when I have to pay you, you’ll get paid.’ He said it very nonchalantly and very matter-of-factly, and as time wore on I saw that he didn’t pay anybody,” added Wendy.

“He didn’t pay the shirt manufacturers, he didn’t pay the Fruit of Islam for security, he didn’t pay security guards for security, he didn’t pay his staff, he didn’t pay his office rent. They didn’t pay anybody.”

What is your opinion about this topic? How would you handle it if your boss just decided to stop paying you?
