The Utah Utes’ dream of becoming the 2018 NIT Champions fell short in the title game against Penn State. Not much could be done after Penn State pulled the lead away in the second half to beat Utah 82-66 Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
The Nittany Lions finished their season with a 26-13 record. This is their second-most winning year in program history. In 2009 Penn State finished with a 27-11 record and also won the NIT championship.
Congrats to the Utes for their great run in 2018.
