Em’s new album is on its way — and he’s already began to unveil it in a subtle (but genius) way.
An Instagram post by Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s longtime manager, sparked speculation after fans started to notice some unusual messages. On the surface, you see an ordinary promotion for Yelawolf’s Trial By Fire album. (scroll down) If you look a little closer, you’ll notice a few suspicious touches that have been added to the advertisement in the background.
First, the E in “REVIVAL” is backwards. This is signature for Eminem, one ‘E’ is always backwards on his album cover art.
The ad also directs users to their website, http://askaboutrevival.com, which is chock full of subliminal lyrics and messages like, “It’s easy to lose yourself” and “With Revival, I won’t miss my one shot”.
The bottom of the ad reads, “Manufactured by Popsomp Industries”. Popsomp Hills was the name of the fake rehabilitation center Em created to promote 2009’s Relapse album.
And if all this evidence wasn’t incriminating enough, according to Detroit’s Free Press Directory, the ad was purchased by Interscope Records.
It’s safe to say, one of the most anticipated hip-hop albums ever is coming. REVIVAL.
