After performing his new single “Walk On Water” at MTV’s European Music Awards in London, Eminem was awarded ‘Best Hip Hop Artist’. After which, he said to the crowd, “I’m not really sure how I got this because I haven’t had an album in a few years… I got one comin’ though.”
He’s definitely not wrong — his last project, the Marshall Mathers LP 2 dropped over 4 years ago, so the fact that he was even a candidate is surprising. It’s just another testament to the legacy and influence of Slim Shady.
