New Video, Familiar Faces: A Star-Studded Callback to “Without Me”

Eminem has once again proven his knack for nostalgia and reinvention by releasing his much-teased new song “Houdini.” Accompanied by a visually stunning music video directed by Rich Lee, the track harkens back to the rapper’s 2002 hit “Without Me.” The video is peppered with cameos from some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Pete Davidson, The Alchemist, and comedian Shane Gillis.

The “Houdini” video is a treasure trove of Easter eggs for longtime fans. Eminem dons his infamous Robin costume from the “Without Me” video, bringing back memories of his satirical superhero antics. The visual also features a slew of wannabe Slim Shadys, reminiscent of the rapper’s iconic performance at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, where a legion of lookalikes accompanied him on stage.

The Tease Before the Trick: Eminem and David Blaine

In the lead-up to the release, Eminem teased fans with a video featuring renowned magician David Blaine. The clip showcases Blaine performing his trademark stunt of eating a wine glass, while Eminem quips, “Well, for my last trick, I’m gonna make my career disappear.” This playful banter set the stage for the “Houdini” release, blending magic with music in true Eminem fashion.
