Do you usually reach for a roll of foil to wrap up your leftovers? I used to, especially leftover pizza.
Turns out that wrapping your food in foil increases your risks to harmful health hazards. Foil was created for baking, not for storage. Using aluminum foil to cover food doesn’t completely seal your food off from the air which leaves you at risk for foodborne bacteria.
Leftovers should only be kept in the fridge for about four days and should be sealed in airtight containers whenever possible.
