Hip-Hop and R&B Dominates Billboard’s Year-End Charts

His Left Stroke Is Still Viral

Kendrick Lamar ends the years having the No. 1 album on the Billboard Top 200 year-end chart! Drake, however, takes the three-peat and remains the top Hip-Hop/R&B artist for 2017. He leads a male-dominated genre, with the top 12 acts of the year’s top Hip-Hop/R&B artists ranking either solo men or all-male groups. With the shut-out, 2017 marks the first year that no women appear in the top 10 of the annual recap since 1983. 2017’s top female on the Hip-Hop/R&B chart is Rihanna. Peep the year-end results below.
