Hip Hop to me is something that is very deep. From first buying records and cassettes from groups like Run DMC, N.W.A and Snoop Dogg to Eminem. One group that might not of made it to their Icon stature was Mobb Deep from Queens, New York, but definitely made a mark in Hip Hop.
Prodigy, one half of the “Infamous” Mobb Deep has succumbed to his battle with sickle cell anaemia. The condition in which red blood cells contort into a sickle shape and die early, leaving a shortage of healthy red blood cells. His voice stood out on many records, plus his slick word play was something many rappers have tried to mimic. Thank you Prodigy for being one bad ass Emcee and Producer. R.I.P.
