Is the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West a sham? If what Radar Online says is true, yes. Apparently, Ian Halperin has uncovered the real reason why KimYe exists. While Simon & Schuster won’t let the author discuss the project, a publishing insider opened up about what Ian found out.
Faced with a possible cancellation of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” when Kim’s “marriage” to Kris Humphries collapsed after 72 days, Momma Kris Jenner called a “crisis meeting.” They decided to have Kim date a someone who was “fashionable and ideally of African American descent.” The short list included Justin Bieber, Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Kim decided on Kanye, even though she thought he was too short for her. And Kanye agreed to it because he saw it as a good opportunity. “Halperin says that Kris was upfront with Kanye about this being a set up and he agreed because he thought his star as well as Kim’s would be augmented.” Everything was fine until Kim and Kanye lost sight of the arrangement. “It became friends with benefits,” says Halperin. “And Kim got pregnant and they really did fall for each other.”
But now that Kanye has let the cat out of the bag about his $53-million dollar debt, Kim’s been talking to a divorce attorney to make sure that his debt doesn’t affect her and her family’s bottom line. We’ll keep you posted on this one…
