J. Cole and 17-year-old Lil Pump have had their fair share of problems over the past year.
Pump is notorious for leading “F**k J. Cole” chants at his shows, and even published a diss track creatively titled, “F**k J. Cole”. Uncharacteristically so, Cole participated in the beef by seemingly taking shots at Pump on a song of the KOD album, “1985”. One of his most vicious bars said,
“I’ll be around forever ’cause my skills is tip-top
To any amateur n****s that wanna get rocked
Just remember what I told you when your s**t flop
In five years you gon’ be on Love & Hip-Hop”
While J. Cole and Lil Pump’s beef is pretty fresh, the two sat down for a heart-to-heart at Cole’s studio in North Carolina. The conversation gets pretty awkward at times, but it’s a great step towards finding the balance between the new school and the veterans of rap.
