Jazz Power Rankings: Utah’s The Team of The Week

Soft schedule ahead…

The Jazz currently have the second-best win-streak in the NBA and were the most impressive team of the week, but how does the media see the Jazz and where do they land in each of their power rankings? Let’s find out.

The official NBA website moved the Jazz up to No. 7 overall. (last week No. 9)

“Against the toughest three-game stretch left on their schedule, the Jazz went 3-0, holding three top-11 offenses — those of the Clippers, Nuggets, and Bucks — to just 102.6 points per 100 possessions. They’re still two games in the loss column out of a top-four seed but will now play 17 of their next 18 games against teams that are at or below .500.”

ESPN moved the Jazz up to No. 9. (last week No. 11)

“The Jazz have the No. 3 seed in the West in their sights. Utah is two games behind the Thunder and Trail Blazers now and has the NBA’s softest schedule in the final quarter of the season. Speaking of finishing strong, Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting in the fourth quarters of those wins over Denver and Milwaukee.”

Bleacher Report moved the Jazz to No. 6 (last week No. 7)

“With a top-five defense on the year and a surprising top-10 performance on offense in February, the Jazz could cruise through a soft remaining schedule to surpass 50 wins.”

Sports Illustrated moved the Jazz to No. 5 (last week No. 8)

“With the easiest schedule left in the league, the Jazz have a shot to jump as high as three in the West standings.”

CBS Sports moved the Jazz to No. 9 (last week No. 10)

“These guys are just solid and tough all the way through.”

The average ranking from all five sources have the Jazz Power Ranking at No. 7. Will they be able to secure home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs? There’s a good chance.
