As Hurricane Irma barrels toward Florida, residents are panicking to find a way out of it’s path. Unfortunately, many airlines have succumbed to corporate greed and are making flights out of Florida over $3,000. This will make fleeing the state impossible for many and could be the difference between life or death for some.
However, Jet Blue is taking a stand by placing a price cap on flights out of Florida. Direct flights will cost no more than $99 while connecting flights won’t surpass $159. Considering that Jet Blue is a higher-end airline, they’re leaving thousands of dollars on the table to show support and humanity in trying times.
