Mariah Carey made her first in-studio appearance anywhere in two years.
She stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden to help him celebrate his 1000th episode. Mariah has the distinction of being the first artist back in 2015 to do Carpool Karaoke and it is all thanks to the late George Michael. James and George Michael did the segment in Britain for Comic Relief. He showed Mariah the clip and she loved George Michael and said if it’s good enough for him it was good enough for her. That’s how the segment was born on his show here in the U.S.
