Polynesian True Freshman QB Helps Alabama Win 2018 National Title!

Just when you thought it was all over for the Crimson Tide trailing by half time, the team rallied till the end. No. 4 Alabama toppled No. 3 Georgia 28 – 26 in an epic comeback to win in over time! The one who found himself under center with that incredible feat was true freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Here in Utah, Polynesian blood runs deep. When I seen the reaction on my Facebook timeline from my Poly peeps sounding loud and pround come halftime, I became glued to the flat screen.

Tua Tagovailoa was the number one high school player in the state of Hawaii in 2017 who attended Saint Louis School in Honolulu. One thing that really set this QB in a winning mindset was his patience under the most pressure one could ever face as a college freshman.

From all Indigenous Nations, we are proud of the amazing job you did. The winning touchdown pass from Tagovailoa to DeVonta Smith will be forever solidified as one of the greatest comebacks ever!
