The family of one of the alleged suspects in Pop Smoke’s murder wants to have a private one on one with Pop’s parents.
According to Corey Walker’s lawyer, Christopher Darden told the New York Daily News, “The Walker family has asked me to contact the victim’s family so they might speak privately. I hope to reach out to the family soon.” The outlet spoke with Pop Smoke’s mother, Audrey Jackson, a teacher for the New York Department of Education, who says she’s aware of the request but isn’t sure she wants to have the conversation. Walker has been scheduled to be re-arraigned after the judge decided in May that the prosecuting team didn’t have enough evidence to go to trial. The arraignment is scheduled for July 6th. Walker is charged with robbery and murder.
