New competition…
Rolling Stone is ready to take on the music charts next week (May 13) and compete with the highly popular Billboard Music Charts.
The “Rolling Stone Charts” will include a singles chart updated daily, rather than every week. They also plan to offer a more transparent way to calculate the number of streams a musician has for a song or an album.
.@RollingStone launching top 100 singles (daily), top 200 albums and top 500 artists (weekly) charts beginning next Monday.
The new charts will reportedly challenge Billboard by offering more transparency on how the rankings are compiled.
