After letting it be known that any sex in Russell Simmons past was consensual according to the Hip Hop mogul. Well now Russell Simmons is under investigation by the NYPD.

“The NYPD has received information about allegations against Russell Simmons in the New York City area. Our detectives are currently in the process of reviewing the information,” Sgt. Brendan Ryan told The Washington Post late Thursday.

After accusations of sexual misconduct and rape allegations by four different women, Mr. Simmons went on his Instagram with the following.

Today, I begin to properly defend myself. I will prove without any doubt that I am innocent of all rape charges. Today, I will focus on “The Original Sin” (Keri Claussen), the claim that created this insane pile on of my #MeToo. Stay tuned! We’ll share information today… And tomorrow the case of Jenny Lumet. My intention is not to diminish the #MeToo movement in anyway, but instead hold my accusers accountable. #NotMe Again, this is not a movement against or even in conjunction with #Metoo . It’s just a statement about my innocence.

According to the mogul’s reps, Russell Simmons passed his test and is asking his multiple accusers to take a lie detector test as well. The Hashtag #NotMe has also been created by the rap mogul.
