Ok I know I’m 3 hours late on this post, but to be fair it 1. dropped during my air shift (yes I’m actually in there) and 2. I have a baby with a double ear infection I’ve been putting down to sleep.. but I did listen to the reply “31 minutes” fresh according to the Soundcloud timestamp.
Let me begin by saying I’ve been a fan of Push since the legendary Clipse classic Lord Willin’ (I moved to Virginia that year, crazy) and have enjoyed Drake since my boy Johnny put me on to his mixtape Comeback Season. I won’t inject my personal feelings on who’s “winning” or who’s bars were technically superior so far here, this isn’t the forum for that. Let’s just recap some moments in Pusha’s reply to Drake’s Duppy Freestyle.
Side note he gets bonus points for using “The Story of O.J” beat because it knocks.

Once he posted it on his IG it was taken down shortly after at the request of the photographer David Leyes.
He brought Dad up.
“Dennis Graham stay off the gram, b*** I’m on one. You mention wedding ring like it’s a bad thing. Your dad walked away at five, hell of a dad thing”
He also addressed bringing up Kanye..
“How dare you put Ye in my verses? I’m selfish I want all the curses.”
Even if this has gotten personal for them we can all be thankful that hip hop has it’s way of addressing it without violence, but through music and talent. Bringing out many of the best moments (and sadly a few of the painful ones) have been sparked through the pen. That’s the way I like my hip hop, to push the culture forward.
