After a proposal last July, Chance the Rapper will walk his fiancée, Kirsten Corley, down the aisle this weekend. He recently took to Twitter to recount the time he first laid eyes on his soon to be wife.

Chance’s mom was working for a real estate company and took him and his father to a company party one evening.

Chance had won several dance/talent competitions at school so naturally, his father nudged him to join “Destiny’s Child” out on the dance floor, but he was too shy and refused to join in.

Fast forward 16 years later and the couple will finally have their first dance this weekend as husband and wife.
