Suge Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Thursday for the murder of Terry Carter.
The sentence for the Death Row founder was much harsher due to his previous felonies and the “violent” nature of the crime.
Carter was killed by Knight after an altercation in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in Compton, California in 2015. Knight struck Carter and another man, Cole “Bone” Sloan, who survived the incident. Knight claimed that he feared the men were going to shoot him and acted in self-defense.
