Dang autocorrect…
How many times has it happened to you? You send out a tweet only to realize you have spelled something incorrectly. You then have to delete it and resend it. But what if you don’t catch it soon enough and it has far too many likes to delete? Those days could soon be over.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is talking about building an “edit button” for tweets. Speaking at an event in India, Dorsey addressed the usage of such a button. “You have to pay attention to what are the use cases for the edit button. A lot of people want the edit button because they want to quickly fix a mistake they made. Like a misspelling or tweeting the wrong URL. That’s a lot more achievable than allowing people to edit any tweet all the way back in time.”
Twitter is also in talks of going away with the like button, and the follower count.
Are you in favor of an edit button, or should people just know to spellcheck their tweets by now?
