These Inspirational 6th Grade Girls Created a Viral Remix
In a video shared by Terrance Sims, a teacher at Milwaukee Excellence Charter School in Wisconsin, shows a group of sixth graders who created a remix to Tee Grizzley’s “First Day Out.” Two of Sims’ students, Aryn and Savannah, perform on the track, with several of their classmates making cameos in the video which is titled “Excellence First.”
The song that the class created comes with a full music video of inspiration surrounding school and education.
Despite those who don’t believe hip-hop has any positive impact, it can be used in great ways to help teach the youth. Just this summer, Brooklyn author and arts educator Erica Buddington uploaded a video to Twitter of her class enjoying a geography-themed remix of “Bodak Yellow.”
