There may be a marijuana shortage in Minnesota for 4/20, thanks to Utah Highway Patrol! They always know how to ruin a party don’t they?
Earley Monday morning a UHP officer pulled over a pickup truck traveling from California to Minnesota, for making an illegal lane change…a minor offense right? Well, it was the driver’s nervousness and paranoid reaction that made the officer suspicious. The discovery and arrest happened near Coalville on the I-80, where the officer became suspicious of criminal activity and had his K-9 conduct a check on the truck, indicating the truck bed (that had a cover on it) was a hot spot for marijuana. Upon a full investigation, UHP found close to 360 pounds of weed in the vehicle. That’s a street value of close to a million dollars!
This is one of the biggest drug busts Utah has ever seen. Back in March, another vehicle was seized in almost the same place with almost 200 lbs of weed.
Minnesota will be celebrating 4/20 sober AF this year.
