One out of two people says they couldn’t live without their smartphone. Do you think you could live without a smartphone for a whole year?
Vitaminwater is willing to bet you can’t do it and even unveiled a challenge for 2019 with an award of $100,000 to a person that proves them wrong.
Think you can do it? Here’s how to enter: post a photo to Twitter or Instagram telling vitaminwater why you need a break from your smartphone. Make sure to include hashtags #nophoneforayear and #contest.
Vitaminwater will choose one participant who will trade their smartphone for a 2000’s era calling-only phone. Even if the participant just makes it for six months they’ll receive $ 10,000.
The entry period ends Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. ET. You can enter up to four times.

Vitamin Water didn’t go into detail about how they’ll monitor the contest but said lie detector tests will be involved.
