I’ve been a fan of A Tribe Called Quest since I could put a record on a record player. No matter what era or stage you came to love hip hop, the road always led to one of the most lyrical, smart, funky and skillful groups of all time. Phife Dawg (Malik Izaak Taylor) had the most unique way of putting together phrases so differently yet so clear to understand.
I was part of the world that never thought ATCQ would be back.. and they did. Shortly after (too soon, 2 years ago today) we lost one of the greatest to do it on and off the mic. This set is inspired by his incredible body of work that he left us to enjoy forever through music.
