Hometown Performance…
The 2019 NBA All-Star Game was headlined by J. Cole who performed during halftime in his home state of North Carolina. Meek Mill opened the event with a few tracks, including pre-game introductions.
Doing what I feel like more artists should do, Cole kept it simple and the music do the entertaining. I’m tired of these elaborate halftime shows, where you’re left thinking, “what the heck was that?”
Cole performed a medley of hits including his newest single “Middle Child.” See the performance below.
Before the All-Star game even tipped off Meek Mill introduce the stars of the night with a medley of songs from his Championships album. See the performances below.
The All-Star game could make it’s way back to Utah within the next few years. The last time the event was held in Salt Lake was in 1993, however, the Jazz are submitting a bid to host the event in 2022 or 2023.
News: the Utah Jazz are submitting a bid to the NBA commissioner’s office to host the All-Star Game in Salt Lake City in 2022 or 2023. More details: https://t.co/YGmzQKm7gZ
