Shots Fired…
Nicki Minaj released the video to “Hard White” at the end of January and fan theories immediately started running wild.
Last December, fans noticed that Drake and Nicki were no longer following each other on Instagram. It’s not entirely clear when they stopped following each other, however, it’s a good clue that not everything is good between them as it used to be.
The first fan theory involves the ruined relationship with Drake as you see a scorpion getting broken into pieces in a quick clip. Considering Drake’s latest album is titled Scorpion, it seems like a validated theory.

The second theory claims that Nick is taking a shot at Cardi B. In the track she raps, “I ain’t ever have to strip to get the pole position” (a reference to Cardi’s stripper past). Fans believe a dead bird falling from the sky is supposed to symbolize Cardi’s fall from grace.
The third and final theory is aimed towards the GRAMMY’s. As a GRAMMY trophy flashes across the screen, Nicki raps, “I’m the trophy of the game/Everybody trying to win me.”
