What Migos Song Was Chloe Kim Listening to on Her Gold Medal Run?

Put that thing in sport

Chloe Kim is only 17 years old, yet the pressure for her to bring home the gold medal in the Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe event was unlike any other. I couldn’t even take the ACT in high school without my hands sweating and here she was on the highest level, competing in the world spotlight.

At least we know it wasn’t a walk in the park for her.

But then again she didn’t lack confidence. She knew what she was capable of.

Kim won the event with a final score of 98.25. Her first lap was worthy of the Gold medal with a score of 93.75. Kim was the last rider to drop in for her third and final run already knowing the gold was hers. She could’ve rode right down the middle of the halfpipe with her hands in the air knowing she was the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding gold medal. But, according to ESPN, Kim didn’t see it that way.

“I knew if I went home with a gold medal knowing I could do better, I wouldn’t be very satisfied. I wanted to do the back-to-back 10’s. I wanted to go bigger. That third run was for me to prove to myself that I did it, so I could go home and be happy with myself.”

Knowing her grandmother was in the crowd, Kim wanted to put on a show for the world and that she did. She beat her previous score and tallied up a score of 98.25. An almost perfect score!

It might have been hard to tell, but a few seconds before she started her run you could see Kim adjusting her headphones, thus leading to the natural question: What was she listening to?

ESPN reports she was listening to “MotorSport” by Migos. My only question is what verse was it on? Was it Quavo, Offset, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, or Takeoff? Reporter’s need to dig deeper these days for the culture!
