Joe Biden says he’s getting closer to picking a running mate.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee told MSNBC on Monday that four Black women are on his shortlist for vice president.
He said he’s going to take about six weeks to complete the vetting process to narrow down his list before next month’s nearly all-virtual convention in Milwaukee.
“Black women have supported me my whole career. I have been loyal, and they have been loyal to me – and so it’s important that my administration, I promise you, will look like America.”
Among the names Biden is believed to be considering: California Senator Kamala Harris, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, and former Obama administration officials Susan Rice.
