I still remember hearing from the doctors that my daughter may die not long after she was born. Her heart was stronger than most babies born at 25 weeks because she has strive to stay alive. It still brings tears to my eye to know what Jenna and I went through with Jasmine at the beginning.
She touched my heart even before she was born. I wanted Jasmine to recognize her father’s voice and love me, that’s why I would read to her while she was still in her mother’s womb. Even after she was born, I was afraid that she would not love me because our time spent together was not long enough. That was one of the many things we had to deal with when she lived in the NICU for the first one hundred and forty five days of her life.
I am proud to say that our miracle baby is celebrating her second birthday today and she is all toddler!
Happy Birthday Jasmine Mae, Mom and Dad adore you and will always love you to the fullest! You maybe small, but you are stronger than anyone I know.
