Kev’s Teacher of The Week: Stansbury High School

Thank you, teachers…

Delaney All Day and I went out to Stansbury High School in Tooele, Thursday, (April 19) to interact with high school students during their lunchtime. Delaney teamed up with students from the Hope Squad and I was there for my Teacher of The Week nominations.

A total of 58 votes were placed during A and B lunch at Stansbury High School, with 31 teachers receiving nominations.

Congratulations go to, Mr. Heiner who received 7 nominations and is Kev’s Teacher of The Week.

Thurman Heiner is a Language Arts teacher at the school and here’s what some of student’s had to say about him,

“He’s fun and just loves life so it rubs off on us.”

“Awesome at teaching and makes school fun.”

“He encourages us and opens up opportunities for us.”

“He’s always there for his students and teaches us to do what’s right.”

“Teaches really great lessons.”

Not far behind Mr. Heiner was Hope Squad advisor Toni Broadhead who received 5 nominations from students. Delaney and I worked with her closely while we were out there and I could tell why students loved her so much.

There was a three-way tie for third place with four nominations each. Science Teacher and Mesa Advisor Tina Grossman, Math Teacher, Head Girls Tennis Coach and Head Boys Soccer Coach Jacob Jones, and Language Arts and Instructional Coach Erica Hatch.

Congratulations to all of the teachers at Stansbury High School who received votes, we appreciate all that you do for the rising generation.
