So many of you have been asking me how my tiny baby is doing? Others would say it’s a little weird to share the journey of my beautiful miracle. This was something that Jenna and I considered when we made Jasmine’s journey public. The reason we decided to do so is more for a support system. We know there are so many families who are facing this same trial in their own lives. It feels great to hear your stories. Some are sad at times and we want you to know that you are in our thoughts.
Fast forward to 2 and a half months from birth, she is looking healthier and already in a open crib on a “high flow” oxygen machine! This is a huge stepping stone for our tiny miracle baby.
At one time, Jasmine Mae faced a life threatening chance of surgery at 2 weeks old.
But after a chance at a miracle, she was found not needing that surgery after all! Now she is starting to chub up and I’m proud to say that she is currently 3 pounds 11 oz! Her original due date is August 19th but she was born May 14th. Check out my princess now!
She really is such a blessing!
The high flow machine she is on is the final step until an oxygen cannula. She has maintained good body temperature and now we are patiently waiting for her to start on bottle feeding. She is currently still on a feeding tube. With all of her improvements and stepping stones, we hope to have Jasmine home soon. We are very blessed to have the best NICU nurses watching over Our Tiny Miracle
Since our baby has been able to keep a good body temperature, it gives me great honor and pride to present to you… JASMINE MAES FIRST BATH!!
