If you’re like me, and millions of other people then you probably have a really hard time focusing on things. In fact, more than 11% of the world’s population suffer from ADD/ADHD! Whatever your reason is for not being able to focus, it’s not your fault, but there are ways to help. Check them out below.
Make a To-DO list
Get organized and write down everything you need to do for the day. List them by importance. This will help you stay on task, and you’ll be able to make sure you didn’t forget anything. Also, you’ll have a sense of accomplishment when you realize how much you’ve finished, and that will help you continue to stay on task.
Don’t Multitask
You have enough trouble focusing on one thing, multitasking is asking for disaster. Try to handle one thing at a time. Trying to focus on more than one thing at once will cause you to lose interest and focus. Plus, you will become overwhelmed and that will cause frustration and you may even want to give up. Take on one thing at a time.
Take A Break
If you feel yourself getting bored, and losing focus get up and take a break. Giving yourself a chance to recharge will get you back in focus and back on track. Take a little walk around the office, or grab some water and relax for a few minutes. Being able to step away for a bit is one of the easiest ways to keep you focused.
