What a great weekend, with a little bit of everything for a full time DJ/father. First off, I finally got my taxes done! Yes, I procrastinate every year till the end. That’s what happens when you know you won’t get much of a return or have to owe Uncle Sam. (Insert “Native Americans don’t have to pay taxes” joke here, because we sure do.)
After finding out I owe the man, I spent some time with my son Ian at the Select Sounds Entertainment 4/20 Weekend Celebration which was pretty dope! The only rant I have about today’s state of “Underground or Sub-Culture Hip Hop” will be continued on my next blog. *Stay Tuned*
I’m a little upset for not sticking around to see the Hieroglyphics, but the life of a DJ sometimes never ends. Off to DJ at Scallywags…
Shout out to everyone that rolled out to Scallywags Saturday night. This is where I spin heat from today and back in the day. The spot was packed and everyone had a blast!
But the highlight of my weekend was spending it with the kids at Historic Wheeler Farm. The last time I ever went to this awesome animal filled spot was in the early 90’s. I was a teen that loved to go with friends and check out the Haunted Wheeler Farm which they did every Halloween season. This year I actually got to see the animals! My girls and I were entertained with the ducks, pigs, cows, horses, and baby lambs. I think they thought it was a sick joke when I said that I wanted to eat the mother sheep. (Navajo People love MUTTON meat! LOL)
Ending the day watching the new Jungle Book movie in IMAX 3D topped off this great weekend. GO TAKE YOUR KIDS TO SEE IT!
