Ever since I came home from Atlanta, I’ve been doing a TON of research on where I should go to have my lip fillers done again. Utah Facial Plastics had some of the best reviews, and I had a lot of people refer me to their nurse injector, Alfie, “the queen of lip injections”.
Both the office and Alfie definitely lived up to the hype.
Here’s what I loved about my experience:
1. In the cosmetic industry, it can be hard to find genuine. Everyone I met (all the way down to the receptionist) was super welcoming, cool, and never made me feel pressured.
2. I EXPERIENCED NO PAIN AFTERWARDS. I was shocked, because when I had my lips done in Atlanta, the pain was horrific. If you read my last blog about lip fillers, I even wrote about how bad it was:
“What I didn’t anticipate was how bad the post-procedure would be. My lips were severely swollen and bruised for about 4 days after, and the pain was awful. The doctor gave me Arnica gel to help with the bruising, but my best advice is to STAY CONSISTENTLY ON IBUPROFEN.
And no wonder I was in so much pain — the doctor injected over a syringe and a half on me, which I now know was a lot for one session.
Alfie informed me that it’s important not to overfill the lips, which is why she takes the time to do multiple sessions with her clients. I can go back to use the rest of my syringe any time within one year!
3. I asked a million questions, and Alfie was so patient and knowledgeable. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, which I think is a #MAJORKEY when having a cosmetic procedure done. It’s nerve-racking to be worked on by somebody who seems hurried or assumes what you want, and it was comforting to know that she wanted to be on the same page with me.
I’m so glad I gave lip fillers another chance and found Utah Facial Plastics & Alfie..
Life = Changed.
