With our commitment to give back to the community, we created “Summer Of U” (email: [email protected]). A local opportunity for Native American youth needs some extra help to raise money for a summer trip.
Carol Surveyor who is Vice Chairperson for P.A.N.D.O.S. a non profit organization (PANDOS.org) reached out to the U, “I can’t think of a more deserving group of youth to experience the growth, spiritual peace and emotional/physical well being that comes through with an experience like this.”
OARS rafting company was generous enough to donate a 3 night 4 day, 25 person rafting trip on the San Juan River to Native American kids. Their incredibly generous donation includes all meals, the rafts, and guides. Carol added about your donation, “We need to earn this money to cover the sleep kit fees, the gratuities to the river guides and a few small gifts of sage and such that show respect to the elders coming along to pass traditional wisdom and help chaperone. Three nights on a river is a life changing gift for anyone.”
