The start of the 2019 Major League Baseball season starts a new chapter among Native Americans and the Cleveland Indians organization. Cleveland’s controversial Chief Wahoo logo will finally be dropped and replaced with the simple block “C”.
The creepy logo which had many Native Americans in an uproar began in 1947. The team will still sport the Wahoo logo on their sleeves and sell merchandise with Wahoo on it, until 2019.
I have always thought the logo did make us “Indians” look silly. One company switched things up to show a “Caucasians” clap back shirt. I need one.
