Hip-hop pioneers A Tribe Called Quest have taken their place among rock royalty, securing a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during a vibrant ceremony held in Cleveland. Comedian and longtime fan Dave Chappelle inducted the group, with members Q-Tip and Jarobi White present to accept the honor, joined by the parents of the late Phife Dawg. The post-induction celebration was a who’s who of hip-hop legends, all coming together to perform a medley of A Tribe Called Quest’s signature tracks. Queen Latifah opened with “Can I Kick It?”, setting off a chain reaction of classic performances. Black Thought and De La Soul‘s Posdnous followed with “Check the Rhime”, while Common joined in for “Bonita Applebum”. The set climaxed with Busta Rhymes delivering a dynamic fusion of “Scenario” and its iconic remix, a nod to the 1992 collaboration between Tribe and Leaders of the New School.
