A transformation into a media mogul may be Cam’ron’s current undertaking, but it seems he has not forsaken his roots in hip-hop. The Dipset’s pink fur-donning leader unveiled his intention to drop a fresh mixtape on July 28. He announced in an Instagram video posted this Sunday, giving us a sneak peak into the new mixtape:

A Nod to the Glory Days of the Diplomats
Embedded in the social media post, a teaser track featuring Cam’ron’s signature swagger-laden verses breathes over a robust, soul-infused beat, echoing the prime days of the Diplomats. He executes his lines with conviction, stating, “No gossiping, I don’t deal with side talk/ I don’t look for spots, man, I park on the sidewalk/ I told the cop, ‘I don’t care, I like to risk it/ I’ll have another car here before you write the ticket.'”
A Dash of Cam’s Promises
He followed up the video clip with an Instagram caption, “Just warming up. @itiswhatitis_talk mixtape July 28…#IIWII the new DEATHROW[.] WELCOME TO THE ROW N**GA[.] We just got to summer league too!! Vegas we here!!! And by da way the old MURDA BACK!!!! @rsvpmase.”
