The Detroit Lions cancelled practice on Tuesday, choosing instead to address the Jacob Blake shooting and protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Players and coaches addressed the media outside the team’s practice facility, holding signs with messages like “We Won’t Be Silent” and “We Demand Justice”.
Safety Duron Harmon told reporters “Football is not important today” and that “I want you all to document that the Detroit Lions will not be silent”.
