Family or not, it doesn’t matter to Rihanna, as she is reportedly taking her own father to court.
According to TMZ, Rihanna claims her father, Ronald Fenty, established a talent development company (Fenty Entertainment) back in 2017 despite her existing Fenty trademark used for her beauty line. She believes her dad is profiting off the reputation she’s already established.
Documents obtained by TMZ claim that Rihanna’s father and a business partner claimed they were her reps in order to solicit millions of dollars.
Rihanna is seeking an unspecified amount in damages and for him to stop using the trademarked name.
