T.I. decided to weigh in on the presidential candidates last night, and well, expressed strongly that he couldn’t vote for Hilary Clinton basically because she is a lady.
He said in a radio interview that he can’t really wrap his head around the idea of woman becoming the Nation’s leader in fear of her making irrational decisions based on her emotions.
“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” said the rapper in the interview with DJ Whoo Kid this morning. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president?” T.I. said. “It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen.”
Later, he apologized publicly on the internet, for degrading women in his comments:
My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.
