The above clip from a 2015 ‘Morning Inspiration’ segment on Steve Harvey’s show has begun re-circulating the Internet and sparking a debate. Harvey claims “rich people don’t sleep 8 hours a day”, and some are criticizing his comments as being “misguiding” and “inaccurate”.
In the clip, Harvey continues to say, “That’s a third of your life. It ain’t but 24 hours in a day! You cannot be sleep eight hours a day! You can’t live in L.A. and wake up at 8 o’clock in the morning. It’s 11 o’clock on the east coast. The stock market’s been open for two hours. They already making decisions about your life and your a** was sleep!”
Chrissy Teigen even chimed in, saying she sleeps “12 hours a day” — and hey, Forbes estimates she’s worth $13 million.
